I met Jen and Danny at one of my first wedding fairs, early in my business journey. They were seeking a special honeymoon but weren't sure where to go. After discussing options like the Maldives, Mauritius and Sri Lanka, the mention of Kate and Prince William's Seychelles honeymoon sealed the deal.
We thoroughly researched the best hotels, but then Covid hit. Despite the setback, Jen and Danny remained positive. We postponed their trip twice, but thanks to the proactive measures in the Seychelles, we managed to move the date forward and secure the same cost. It was a true team effort, and I was thrilled to help them achieve their dream honeymoon...
We met Sheena at a wedding fair just days before the world shut down due to COVID. I kept her leaflet, and since we had no idea what to do for our honeymoon, we decided to use her expertise.
I've travelled a bit and had never used anyone to book holidays before, but this was
different. I'm so grateful we met. Sheena not only helped create an incredible honeymoon, but also navigated us through travelling during the pandemic smoothly and stress-free. We had no concrete ideas for our trip; it just needed to be special and a standout holiday with extra touches.
Sheena provided several options for Hawaii and the Seychelles, allowing us to see what each would entail in terms of travel, costs and experiences. This comparison was incredibly helpful, highlighting what was important to us. We leaned towards the Seychelles and tweaked the plan a few times based on our feedback and her valuable knowledge
This was good service, but Sheena was amazing when it came to postponing. She was so supportive, giving us all the options without any pressure, and none of them (unlike others we heard about) meant we'd lose any money.
Once we had a new date, she contacted the hotels and incredibly secured the same prices.
In the lead-up, we made further changes, including adding business-class flights. I still have no idea how she managed to achieve the price she did – the value of a travel agent!
The flights were amazing. Emirates Business class is incredible, and we felt like rock stars - exactly what we wanted from our honeymoon. 😊
There were multiple transfers, all seamlessly organised by Sheena. It was amazing to know that every time we landed, there'd be a car waiting for us, and every time we left a hotel, we'd be collected.
From the moment we were picked up at home to when we were dropped back, everything was planned and effortless! Sheena also secured complimentary plane transfers between the islands, which was far more convenient than the boat.
We spent a week at the Savoy Seychelles Resort & Spa on Mahe, followed by a week at Raffles on Praslin. The Savoy was nice, with spacious and comfortable rooms. Sheena had wisely suggested a bed and breakfast package since there were plenty of restaurants nearby.
Our expectations for Raffles were high, but the resort was beyond incredible – truly next level! The staff and service were amazing; we felt so special and well looked after. They couldn’t do enough for us. With plenty of restaurants, including speciality nights, Sheena's advice to go half-board meant we fully enjoyed all the dining options.
We organised a few excursions, including my first open-sea snorkelling trip and a boat trip to another island where we rented bikes to explore.
Other highlights included a private tour of Mahe and an incredible trip to see the giant tortoises with a private lunch. We were collected by boat from Raffles’ private beach after a paradise picnic lunch! All our trips were fun, exciting experiences showcasing the islands perfectly.
The locals were so helpful and friendly. We even tried a recommended takeaway from a food cart in Mahe, which was awesome!
We wanted to relax in paradise, and the Seychelles delivered, far exceeding our expectations. It was everything we hoped for our honeymoon and more!
Sheena shaped our basic ideas into an incredible trip with her hard work, giving us peace of mind throughout the entire experience, from booking to returning home. Everything went seamlessly, and we travelled stress-free.
